Grid-forming technology allows our BESS to generate its own stable frequency and voltage from scratch, without relying on any external power source. That means a steadier grid, fewer disturbances, and less dependence on spinning diesel reserves to keep Jamaica's system in balance.
Black Start Capabilities
When the grid goes dark, our systems don't wait — they act. Black start capability allows a Smart Energy BESS to independently energize transmission lines and restart critical infrastructure without any outside power. No diesel spin-up, no delays.
